Q: What operating system/s are available?

A: The ION Tp5 is available with the following operating systems:

Window 10 Pro 32 bit

Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB 32 bit (POSReady)

Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry 32 bit (POS Ready)

No operating system

Unfortunately the ION TP5 is not compatible with 64 bit versions.

Linux operating systems are not supported.

Q: Am I able to upgrade to more than 2GB of RAM?

A: The memory for the ION TP5 is embedded therefore it is not upgradeable.

Q: Am I able to upgrade to larger than a 32GB SSD?

A: The storage for the ION TP5 is embedded therefore it is not upgradeable.

Q: Do I need a kick code to use the cash drawer port?

A: Yes. The windows driver does not have built in cash drawer kick functionality so you will need to enter a kick code into your software.

Hexidecimal: 1B 70 0 40 F0

Q: What is the cut code for the printer?

A: The codes to use are below:

Decimal: 13 29 86 1

Hexidecimal:  1D 56 1

Q: What display resolutions are compatible?

A: The ION TP5 has a 16:9 aspect ratio (widescreen).

The following resolutions are supported.

1366 x 768 (recommended)

1360 x 768

1280 x 768

1280 x 720

1024 x 768 – screen will letterbox with black bars on the side since this is 4:3 aspect ratio.
